My First Newborn shoot!

OK, this is way late, but better late than never!  Mr. K was born July 1, sadly the same day Mother passed. Two weeks later I got to do this shoot. K is also the product of my first Maternity shoot from below!!  Anyway, I am finally getting around to sharing the images with you. I actually combined the images with a book template and had it professionally printed. But here is a digital version of that book.  I had a great time putting it together, it felt like I was scrapping again! LOL!

My "Baby" is 6 Today!

Can you believe it? I can't! Where does the time go?  I had to have a new photo for E's birthday celebration at school today so I did a very quick mini-session with him last night. Here are a few of my favorites! We will do an official shoot later, when he isn't tired and grumpy! LOL!

Hello Friends,

It's been a while huh? Sorry. This has been a very hard and stressful 2 months for obvious reasons. I have had very little time to be on line and no time for photography either. I did manage to squeeze in a newborn session a couple of weeks ago and I hope to have those images up for you soon. I just wanted to touch base with you and let you know that I am still here and hope to be back in the swing of things soon.

First Maternity

I am so excited to share with you the results of my first Maternity shoot! This family was very beautiful and fun to work with and I think we are all happy with the results. It feels really good to finally have a maternity shoot under my belt, I've wanted to do one forever! I can't wait to do more!

Studio Lighting

Hello Blog Friends!

I finally broke down (took some arm twisting) and purchased some studio lighting. I am a natural light photographer and know nothing about studio lighting! But I need to learn. So I got lights, purchased a muslin backdrop, cleared out the guest bedroom and set it all up yesterday.

The room is NOT big enough, but it will have to do for now. And since I wanted to play of course I grabbed my resident model and made him sit there... with a 102 fever and a headache...bad Papa!! LOL!

Anyway, I wanted to share my first attempt. I think it's pretty good for a first time! Who knows, I may be a photographer yet!!

I have several sessions coming up soon so I hope to be posting some from those in the near future!

Meet Maddie, Katie and Emma

Hello Blog Friends!

Wow, it's been a while since I've posted, sorry!

This past weekend I had the opportunity to meet up with some other local photographer friends and their kids for a shoot at a local park. The park was so neat and beautiful, but as luck would have it, it started raining as soon as we arrived! We toughed it out anyway for about 30 minutes and then gave it up. I was able to get some neat shots and here is a sample. I have more but I'm not through proofing yet. I will post more later, including a couple cute shots of E. It's been a while since I posted any of him.

Spring Special!

I love the word SPRING! This has been a long winter and I am so ready for some warmer weather to get out and shoot in (photographs, not people!)! I know that technically spring doesn't start till the end of March, but I think we can fudge it a little.

I am currently in the process of building my portfolio and am offering a special during the months of March and April! I am looking for all categories: Maternity, Babies, Children, Seniors, Adults and Families (up to 5 people).
